Lohri is an Indian festival celebrated primarily by people belonging to the region of Punjab. However it is celebrated all over north India with great enthusiasm and joy. Lohri festival that symbolizes many events. It marks the end of the winter season and it is also considered a harvest festival of the rabi/ sugarcane crops and thus an important day for the farmers belonging to this agricultural acreage. It is celebrated by chanting prayers and happy songs near a bonfire and enjoying rewari, gajak, mungfali with friends and family.
We also celebrated Lohri in our Institute with all the students and teachers enjoying around the bonfire and having lohri- winter special foods.
