Trees have long been a subject of interest and a topic of discussion - and it's no wonder; they represent life, growth, peace, and nature. Hon'ble Prime Minister Modi had talked about how traditional Hindu scriptures such as Gita, Shukracharya Niti, and Anushasan Parv of the Mahabharta highlight the values of forests and had emphasized the importance of trees at his 'Mann ki Baat' a program broadcast on the government's All India Radio.
Since then every year, keeping up the Legacy shared by Hon'ble Prime Minister, our BBA & BCA Students, faculty of GLBIM, Greater Noida along with eminent guests participated in tree plantation drive with the objective to spread awareness about trees which provide us with many benefits necessary for survival, including clean air, filtered water, shade, and food. They also give us hope and insight, and courage to persevere - even in the harshest conditions. Trees teach us to stay rooted while soaring to great heights. The students engaged wholeheartedly in the plantation drive. The Aim of planting tree was to restore native forests and to reduce carbon dioxide, a principal greenhouse gas that contributes to global warming. Planting tree increases oxygen level in environment, the most essential gas on globe.
