BBA & BCA Students and faculty members of GLBIM, Greater Noida celebrated Gandhi Jayanti to rejoice in the honour of the birthday of the Father of the nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, popularly known as Mahatma Gandhi or Bapuji. Gandhiji was the preacher of non-violence. He has set an example of simple living and high thinking. He started the 'Satyagraha' (non-violence) movement for the Indian freedom struggle. He proved to the world that freedom can be achieved through the path of total non-violence.
The birth anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri, the former Prime Minister of the country was also celebrated on 2 October Lal Bahadur Shastri had devoted his entire life to the service of the poor. Shastriji was born on 2 October 1904 in Mughalsarai. In the year 1920, Shastriji joined the freedom struggle of India and played an important role in the freedom struggle, the Non-Cooperation Movement of 1921, the Dandi March of 1930 and the Quit India Movement of 1942. Shastriji gave the slogan of 'Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan'. On this occasion eminent guests, faculty members and students plated the flowers on photos of Mahatma Gandhiji & Lal Bahadur Shastiji and paid homage to their inspirational leaders. Students also took oath to avoid single used plastic and keep our environment clean
